Description

The training ground complex consisted of various existing buildings (built between 1955-1986), sports facilities, fields and public walkways. Some buildings were 2-storeys high with foundations that in some cases, the full extents were unknown. There were neighbouring live businesses, residences, schools, public accessways, protected trees and drains which placed various restrictions on how works were undertaken. Each phase comprised of sequential/phased demolition supported by bespoke temporary works systems. The location within a very busy industrial area had implied various restrictions on deliveries, noise, working hours, interface with the general public and muck-away.
