Prince of Wales Drive
Description:
One of the first projects to be delivered by St William, GCL package consists of the following elements;
Construction of basement box of 5.5 hectors, incorporating a complete pilling package which including design and temporary works, development and installation to network rail boundaries.
Package also includes site office and welfare setup for 500 operatives, face recognition and site CCTV security systems.
Reasonability for de-watering underground construction and dealing with existing gas tanks, all formed part of risks with in the package.
Tower Cranes hire for the future frame package also included within the works
Description:
- Bulk Excavation of circa 100,000m3 off site
- Construction of 17,500m2 basement box with water proofing
- Supply and fit 5,250 ton of reinforcement
- Installation of Secant, CFA and rotary pilling
- Reasonability for de-watering underground construction and dealing with existing gas tanks
- Both CFA and Rotary rings being used on site
- Complex temporary works scheme in place to support the existing gas holder walls
- Circa 33,500m3 on concrete will be used to construct the basement box
- Tower Cranes hire for the future frame package also included within the works
- Welfare setup for 500 operatives, face recognition and site CCTV security systems
Innovation:
- Back filling gas holders, temporary works propping piles, mixed single and double basement construction.
- Working with conjunction with network rail due to the close proximity of the rail viaducts
